Suzuki Unveils Electric and Eco-Friendly Two-Wheelers at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025
Suzuki Motor Corporation showcased its forward-looking approach to sustainable two-wheeler mobility at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 held in New Delhi from January 17 to 22. The brand unveiled three new motorcycle models: the e-ACCESS, Suzuki’s first global strategic electric scooter; a newly updated ACCESS model with modern features; and a bioethanol-compatible version of the GIXXER SF250. All three are set to be produced by Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited for both domestic and international markets.
e-ACCESS: Suzuki’s Global Electric Debut
The all-new e-ACCESS marks Suzuki’s entry into the electric mobility space with a practical, stylish BEV scooter designed for urban riders. Production will begin in March 2025, with sales launching in India by April, followed by global exports.
This fixed-battery scooter features smooth and silent acceleration, a regenerative braking system, and selectable ride modes to adapt to rider preferences. With a 17-liter under-seat storage compartment, a keyless start system, and a color TFT LCD meter with smartphone connectivity, it brings together functionality and premium tech. The design includes vertical LED lighting and dual-tone machined wheels, while an auto-tension drive belt and overcharge protection ensure reliable, low-maintenance performance.
All-New ACCESS: Classic Appeal, Modern Upgrades
The new ACCESS builds on the retro charm of its predecessor while introducing practical enhancements. It now comes with updated LED lighting, a more fuel-efficient 124cc SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) engine, and improved storage capacity. Features like a fuel filler opening that operates with the ignition switch add to daily convenience. Sales in India will begin in January 2025, with exports to follow.
GIXXER SF250: Embracing Bioethanol for a Greener Ride
Suzuki’s 250cc road sportbike, the GIXXER SF250, now comes with a new variant that supports bioethanol fuel blends up to E85. This eco-conscious upgrade includes tweaks to the fuel injector, pump, and filter, allowing it to run on plant-derived fuels that significantly reduce CO₂ emissions compared to conventional petrol. The updated GIXXER SF250 will go on sale in January 2025 across India.
A Multi-Path Approach to Clean Mobility
Suzuki’s latest launches demonstrate its commitment to a greener, more diverse mobility future. Whether through battery-powered innovation, refined petrol efficiency, or bioethanol adaptability, the company is positioning itself at the forefront of India’s shift toward sustainable transportation.
