2025 BMW C400 GT and BMW C400 X offer a compelling package of enhanced safety, improved comfort, updated styling, and practical features, making them even more attractive options in the competitive mid-size scooter segment.
BMW C400 GT and C400 X Updated for 2025: Enhanced Features and EU-5+ Compliance
BMW Motorrad has refined its popular mid-size scooters, the C400 GT and C400 X, for the 2025 model year. The updated models boast EU-5+ homologation, significantly expanded standard equipment, new customization options, and a range of dedicated accessories, further solidifying their position in the urban mobility segment.
Upgraded Engine Meets Latest Emissions Standards
The heart of both the BMW C400 GT and C400 X remains the reliable single-cylinder engine, now compliant with the stringent EU-5+ emissions standards. This power unit delivers a maximum output of 25 kW (34 hp) at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 35 Nm at 5,750 rpm. Power is efficiently transferred to the rear wheel via a continuously variable CVT transmission and a torsionally rigid powerset swing arm. This ensures dynamic and carefree riding pleasure while adhering to the latest environmental regulations.
Enhanced Safety Features Now Standard
A significant upgrade for the 2025 models is the inclusion of BMW Motorrad ABS Pro as standard on both the C400 X and C400 GT. This advanced braking system provides enhanced safety, particularly when braking while leaning. ABS Pro effectively prevents wheel lock-up even during abrupt braking and reduces sudden steering force changes, offering riders greater confidence in various riding conditions. Furthermore, both scooters now come standard with Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), and Motor Slip Regulation (MSR), further enhancing rider safety and control.
Improved Comfort and Ergonomics
BMW Motorrad has focused on enhancing the overall riding experience by optimizing comfort and ergonomics. Both the C400 X and C400 GT feature newly designed seats that promise improved comfort for both the rider and passenger. The accessibility to the stand has also been refined, making it easier to deploy. Additionally, the USB charging socket in the front storage compartment is now a standard feature, providing added convenience for charging electronic devices on the go. The C400 GT benefits from newly designed rearview mirrors with an expanded field of vision, contributing to increased safety in urban traffic.
New Style Options for the BMW C400 GT
In addition to the standard Blackstorm metallic color scheme with black accents, the BMW C400 GT is now available in a new “Exclusive” model variant. This elegant option features a Diamond white metallic body color, complemented by golden rims and tapes, a black seat bench with an embroidered emblem matching the rim color, and golden front brake calipers. A distinctive floor lighting with a BMW logo projection and stainless steel footboard inserts further enhance the premium appeal of this variant.
Connectivity and Practical Accessories
The updated BMW C400 GT offers an optional “Connectivity Pro” package, featuring a large 10.25-inch TFT display with integrated connectivity, split-screen functionality, and map navigation. This provides riders with seamless access to information, communication, and navigation directly from the cockpit. A range of original BMW Motorrad accessories is also available for both models, including a new 43.5-liter top case with interior lighting and a USB connection, body protection protectors, footboard inserts, anodized handlebar end weights, and hand guards, allowing riders to customize their scooters to their individual needs and preferences.
