Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA Gears Up for FIA WEC 2025
The freshly formed Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA is preparing for its first full season in the FIA World Endurance Championship ‘WEC 2025’, with star drivers Earl Bamber and Alex Lynn expressing confidence in the partnership. Both have piloted the Cadillac V-Series.R for the past two years and believe JOTA’s expertise will elevate the program to new heights.
Earl Bamber Impressed by Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA’s Approach
Following a three-day test at Circuit Paul Ricard with team-mates Sébastien Bourdais, Jenson Button, Norman Nato, and Will Stevens, Bamber praised JOTA’s impact.
“I think JOTA is bringing a new energy to the Cadillac project,” said the New Zealander. “They have a lot of knowledge and they know how to win races. We’d like more testing, but this first block has given us vital information to prepare for the season.”
Alex Lynn: Motivation is Off the Scale
Lynn, who secured pole position for the 6 Hours of Fuji in 2024, echoed Bamber’s thoughts.
“With what they’ve achieved, the team’s prestige speaks for itself. Having driven this car for the last two years, we are excited to see what JOTA can do with it,” Lynn said. “Our experience should fast-track the learning process. The motivation to succeed is already off the scale.”
Will Stevens Confident in Cadillac Partnership
Team-mate Will Stevens reflected on the progress made in 2024, highlighting JOTA’s ability to challenge manufacturers as a privateer.
“We had a lot of potential and should have finished higher in the championship,” Stevens admitted. “But the fact that we could fight with the manufacturers gives us a lot of confidence for 2025 with Cadillac behind us. All the ingredients are there for a very successful partnership.”
A Strong 2024 Platform to Build On
Both Cadillac and JOTA ended the 2024 FIA WEC season on a high, with Cadillac narrowly missing a podium at COTA and finishing sixth in Bahrain, while JOTA secured the top two spots in the FIA World Cup for Hypercar Teams. The alliance now aims to translate that momentum into consistent results in WEC 2025.
Before the WEC season begins, Bamber, Lynn, and Stevens will compete in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the opening round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, as part of their build-up to the year ahead.
