Husqvarna Vitpilen 801: A Roadster Redefined
Husqvarna Mobility has launched the Vitpilen 801, a roadster-inspired motorcycle that combines cutting-edge design, advanced technology, and exceptional performance. With its distinctive Bi-LED projector headlight, compact parallel-twin engine, and precision engineering, the Vitpilen 801 promises an exhilarating riding experience on both city streets and open highways.
Performance and Power
At the heart of the Vitpilen 801 is a lightweight 799 cc DOHC parallel-twin engine delivering 105 hp at 9,250 rpm and 87 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. Weighing just 52 kg (dry), the engine features active crankcase evacuation and a semi-dry sump lubrication system, ensuring extended service intervals of 15,000 km.
The engine is housed in a chromium-molybdenum steel frame, where it doubles as a stressed member, reducing weight and enhancing agility. WP APEX suspension provides 140 mm of fork travel and 150 mm of rear shock travel, while 17” cast alloy wheels fitted with Michelin Road 6 tyres ensure exceptional grip and stability.
Advanced Technology
The Vitpilen 801 offers four ride modes—Street, Rain, Sport, and a customisable Dynamic mode—tailoring engine performance to rider preferences. Advanced electronic aids include cornering ABS, cornering-sensitive traction control with 10 adjustable rear-wheel slip levels, and Easy Shift functionality for seamless gear changes.
Safety and braking are prioritised with a J.Juan braking system complemented by Bosch ABS and a Power Assist Slipper Clutch (PASC) for stability under hard braking and optimal traction during acceleration.
Connectivity and Convenience
A 5” TFT dashboard with optically bonded mineral glass ensures glare-free visibility. Riders can connect their smartphones via the standard Connectivity Unit and the Ride Husqvarna Motorcycles app, unlocking Turn-by-Turn navigation, music controls, and call management.
Premium Design
The Vitpilen 801’s styling reflects its roadster roots, highlighted by its signature Bi-LED headlight with a separate light ring. Available in two color options, the bike also includes an integrated hazard warning system and a range of Technical Accessories for further customisation.
