Kawasaki Boosts Performance and Tech with 2025 Versys 1100
Kawasaki has officially unveiled the 2025 Versys 1100, showcasing a host of key upgrades aimed at elevating both performance and compliance with the latest Euro 5+ emissions regulations. The adventure-touring flagship receives more displacement, power, and cutting-edge electronics for the new model year.
Bigger Engine, More Power
The most significant update is the increase in engine capacity—from 1000cc to 1100cc—achieved by extending the stroke. This modification not only ensures compliance with Euro 5+ standards but also brings a notable performance boost. The peak horsepower jumps from 120 hp to 135 hp, delivering more robust torque and smoother acceleration throughout the rev range.
Supporting these improvements are updated internal components, including revised intake ducts and new camshaft timing for improved engine efficiency and response.
Enhanced Rider Aids and Safety Tech
The 2025 Versys 1100 also sees a major overhaul in its electronics package. For the first time, the model features a quickshifter that operates from as low as 1,500 rpm, ideal for smooth gear changes across all riding conditions.
Safety and rider control are enhanced through a new inertial measurement unit (IMU), allowing for traction control and cornering ABS—critical features for both road and adventure riding scenarios.
In addition, the rear disc brake is now larger, boosting braking performance and overall safety on long touring rides or twisty mountain roads.
Premium Features in SE Variant
The Versys 1100 SE version retains its Showa EERA (Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment) suspension system, giving riders the flexibility to adapt damping settings on-the-fly based on terrain or load.
With this update, Kawasaki strengthens the Versys 1100’s position in the heavyweight adventure-touring segment, blending power, comfort, and advanced rider aids into a machine built for global travel.
The 2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100 is expected to arrive in showrooms later this year, with full specifications and pricing to be announced soon.
