Kawasaki Elevates the Supernaked Experience with the 2025 Z900 ABS
Kawasaki has unveiled the 2025 Z900 ABS, a striking evolution of its Supernaked flagship that blends enhanced performance, sharper styling, and state-of-the-art electronics. Since its debut in 2017, the Z900 has embodied Kawasaki’s performance DNA, and the latest update cements its position as a go-to machine for riders seeking adrenaline-fueled agility with everyday usability.
More Torque, Less Emissions, and Better Control
Powering the 2025 Z900 ABS is a refined 948cc inline-four engine that delivers stronger low-end torque, crisper throttle response, and increased fuel efficiency. Engine updates include a revised cam profile and optimized ignition timing, reducing CO₂ emissions by over 10% compared to the previous model. Riders will appreciate the linear power delivery and smooth gear transitions, thanks to the assist & slipper clutch and electronic throttle valves.
Smarter Riding with IMU-Based Rider Aids
A major highlight of the 2025 model is its new suite of rider-focused electronics. Kawasaki’s advanced IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) brings real-time chassis orientation awareness, enabling features like traction control, cornering ABS, and the Kawasaki Corner Management Function. Integrated riding modes allow riders to switch between Sport, Road, Rain, or a customizable setting, while the dual-direction quick shifter enables clutchless shifting for seamless performance.
Tech-Enhanced Comfort and Connectivity
For the first time, the Z900 ABS includes electronic cruise control and a 5-inch full-color TFT display. Riders can pair their smartphones via Bluetooth using RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE, gaining access to turn-by-turn navigation, voice command support, ride logs, and customization options directly from their phones.
Sharp Handling Meets Refined Styling
The lightweight trellis frame has been updated for improved rigidity and handling, while revised suspension settings and new Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tires deliver a more planted and confidence-inspiring ride. The bike’s redesigned bodywork stays true to its “Sugomi” design philosophy with a lower headlamp cowl, LED lighting, and brushed metal accents. The updated ergonomics, with a reshaped seat and wider handlebars, improve rider comfort without compromising sportiness.
Z900 SE: A Premium Touch for the Performance Enthusiast
Kawasaki also introduced a Special Edition Z900 SE, equipped with an Öhlins S46 rear shock, Brembo front braking system, and gold-colored fork tubes. Additional enhancements include a premium two-tone seat, USB-C outlet, and distinct graphics.
