MotoGP 2025 Dutch TT Sprint: Marquez Takes the Win
Marc Marquez secured his ninth Sprint race victory of the 2025 season at the MotoGP 2025 Dutch TT Sprint, fending off Alex Marquez in a nail-biting battle at Assen. The Ducati Lenovo rider crossed the line just 0.351 seconds ahead of his brother, while Marco Bezzecchi rounded out the podium.
Lights Out: Quartararo Leads, Marquez Strikes Back
The Sprint began with a flying start from pole-sitter Fabio Quartararo, who surged ahead into Turn 1. Marquez, however, stayed close despite going wide early, managing to hold second.
By the end of Lap 1, Marquez executed a brilliant inside move at the GT Chicane to take the lead. Alex Marquez followed suit, pushing Quartararo down to fourth as Bezzecchi slipped into third.
Sibling Showdown: Alex Marquez Keeps Pressure On
As the race settled by Lap 5, the Marquez brothers ran 1-2 with only 0.2s between them. Bezzecchi stayed within striking distance, while Bagnaia and Di Giannantonio fought further back for the top five spots.
The final laps saw Alex Marquez pushing hard, especially into the last chicane, but the seasoned #93 had enough in reserve to keep the lead intact.
Late Drama: Quartararo Crashes, Bezzecchi Gains
On Lap 10, Quartararo crashed out at Turn 10 just after setting his fastest lap, losing the front end of his Yamaha. The fall gave Bezzecchi breathing room in third.
Di Giannantonio and Bagnaia remained in pursuit, but couldn’t close the gap. Despite intense pressure, the top three held their positions until the chequered flag.
