Suzuki Unveils First Mass-Production BEV, the e VITARA, in Milan
Suzuki Motor Corporation has officially entered the electric vehicle market with the unveiling the e VITARA, its first mass-production battery electric vehicle (BEV) — in Milan, Italy. Production is scheduled to commence in spring 2025 at Suzuki Motor Gujarat in India, with global sales, including in Europe, India, and Japan, starting by summer 2025.
The e VITARA builds upon the “eVX” concept model, first revealed at the Auto Expo 2023 in India and later at the Japan Mobility Show 2023, marking Suzuki’s first global strategic BEV and a major milestone in its electrification journey.
