Yamaha renews MT-07 for 2025, updating it with new equipment and complying it with Euro5 + regulations. This best seller, with over 20,000 units sold in Italy, presents with the well-known engine 73.4 HP and 68 Nm twin cylinder. The engine, now Euro5 + approved, adopts a new electronic suite which includes the Ride by Wire accelerator with three driving modes (Sport, Street and Custom) and traction control. Offer as standard also the shaping clutch, while the electronic gearbox stands out among the options, but the real news is the Y-AMT robotic gearbox, already seen on MT-09, which Yamaha has also made available for MT-07, keeping the promise of bringing this technology on all motorcycles in the range. In terms of cycling, Yamaha has made important changes: the frame has been lightened, the swingarm is new and the wheels are made with spinforged technology, reducing their weight by 480 grams. The suspensions have been reviewed and, for the first time, the MT-07 mounts a fork with inverted stems and radial pliers. Despite the increased technology on board, the total weight of the bike drops by one kilogram, stopping at 183 kg in running order. Ergonomics has improved, with a handlebar wider by 18 mm, lowered by 22 mm and set back by 9.3 mm, while the platforms have been positioned lower. Finally, the new 5-inch TFT instrumentation, borrowed from MT-09, offers handlebar controls with 5-way joysticks and direction indicators equipped with advanced functions, such as emergency braking and “three flash” mode, with automatic shutdown.
